This pendant depicts a beautifully detailed skull with the Latin Motto reading I FEAR DEATH. This pendant is cast from an actual wax seal that was salvaged from a antiquarian document dating to the early 1800's, it's age evident by the cracks that run across it. In heraldry, the skull is a symbol of mortality and the inevitability of death, a reminder that we have but one life.
