Hi, I’m Shannon, an owner and founder, mom and wife, friend and giver.
Back in 2001, I was looking to escape the everyday trials and tribulations of being a stay-at- home mom. During this time — maybe you’ve been there, maybe you haven’t — you will be drawn to a certain outlet, mine was making jewelry.
I started taking classes to learn how to create lampwork glass bead jewelry. I traveled extensively learning new techniques, meeting incredible artists and creating with a group of likeminded women. My love of glass and a blow torch naturally evolved into silversmithing and with my young family, I was drawn to creating jewelry that represented all the pivotal moments in my life.
Soon, what began as a hobby, turned into a business and I started selling a line of jewelry with my glass beads to local boutiques and museum gift shops — Shannon Westmeyer Jewelry was born.
