Pictured is an anchor surrounded by the Italian motto "Spero In Te" meaning "I have hope in you" - "Hope sustains me". The anchor has long been symbolic of hope. As the anchor was often a seaman's last resort in stormy weather, remaining firm and steady amidst stormy waters, it symbolizes the ability to keep calm during rough times and weather the storms and challenges life presents us.
Hope is the anchor of life.
