Bear and Forbear Armorial Wax Seal Medallion

ORIGINS: Created using an armorial motto coronet wax seal, circa 1820 FRANCE.
This seal depicts a crest with 2 rampant lions supporting a shield atop the Latin motto "Sustine et Abstine" which translates to "Hold On and Hold Off" or "Bear and Forbear", to be in control of ones self and destiny. Be patient and endure.

This medallion is a reminder to endure what is difficult or hard to deal with, through patience one achieves all, even the impossible. Words to live by every day.

Bear & Forbear wax seal medallion is made of fine silver using the original seal dating to the 1800's. Each medallion is handmade from recycled fine silver, making them unique and one-of-a-kind in every regard. Expect slight variations in each medallion. They are antiqued and hand rubbed, which gives them a vintage rugged appeal. Wax seal medallion is 1 1/2 inch in length and 1" wide.
